Working with Marni of So Smitten Events is always seamless and fun, this wedding was no exception! When I looked into the venue of choice, Big Daddy’s Antiques, I was really curious. After our walkthrough, all my questions were answered and I came out knowing, this is a VERY special venue. Big Daddy’s Antiques is an antique store near Culver City, CA that also transforms into a wedding venue! All of the amazing furniture, props, and interesting goodies on display second as your wedding decor. This made things super fun!

Not only did this amazing couple utilize everything Big Daddy’s had to offer, they wanted color and funk brought to the design table… nothing boring here! The Bride wore an amazing vintage gown in a blush, peach tone (epic) and the groom an emerald green suit (amazing). When approaching this design, I focused mainly on color. For the personals and reception florals, we wanted mustard tones, some orange, sand, and peach with just a dash of blue. It was neutrals only for the ceremony decor. Since the bride was super laid back and had confidence in my work, I was able to use solely my eye to choose the flowers. I guess it paid off because without even knowing it, I selected her all time favorite flower, the daffodil!

A So Smitten wedding wouldn’t be complete without some great rentals! They selected Archive Rentals to provide the table wear including those gorgeous amber goblets. Now, lets talk about this photography a second. If you’re having a wedding with COLOR, make sure you give Mary Costa Photography a ring. She’s the queen of color and epically sweet to be around. I cannot think of a better artist to document this memorable day!
